Ulaanbaatar is the capital city of Mongolia. The 1 of 3 of the population lives in Ulaanbaatar and it’s a modern metropolis. This day we will have city tour including Gandan Monastery and the National Museum. Rest of the day you have some time to prepare for the big trip.
Amarbayasgalant Monastery is a large Buddhist monastery located in the foothills of Burenkhaan and in the valleys of the Iwen River in the Baruunburen soum of the Selenge province of Mongolia. The construction began in 1727 and ended in 1736. During the repression in 1937, the monastery building was severely damaged, with more than 40 temples and cathedrals 207m long and 175m wide, and now there are 28 churches and temples.
Bulgan Province is one of the most beautiful landscape of Mongolia. We will drop by Unit soum on the way to Huvsgul Lake.
The lake, which was formed about 7 million years ago. The coastline is 414 kilometers long and the second largest in Asia by water resources.accounts for 1% of the world's freshwater. In summer time, it appreciates tourist with its unique sky-blue view.
This day we will head to East Lake. Have lunch Murun city, the capital city of Huvsgul Province and we will drop by historical Deer monument.
Terhiin Tsagaan Nuur, locked by lava from volcanic eruptions, flowing north and south. The length of the lake is 16 km; width 6 km, depth 20m, height 2060 m above sea level, area 61 square km. There is a small island in the middle of the lake where birds nest and lay eggs. There is an erupted volcano The Korgin Togo, located on the shore of Terhiin Tsagaan Lake. The volcano covered a huge area of 8 thousand years ago. Surrounding the volcano are ice caves, "Yellow Dog Hell" and "Human Cave". We will spend 2 days exploring this mysterious place.
Arkhangai Province is popular by its hot springs. The springs flow high pressure water up to 10 liters per second. It contains a high content of minerals such as simple calcium, sodium and sulfur. Some of the springs have a great value from folk remedies, making them a popular tourist destination for Mongolians. The surrounding area is a genus of medicinal plants. There are several tourist resorts offering tourists both indoor and outdoor baths. The beauty of the wild nature soothe your body. Night bathing is great. Seeing the stars in the dark sky is a favorite activity here.
Kharkhorin, the ancient capital of Medieval Mongolia, attracts the attention of experts. A special place in the capital was the King’s Palace which was built by decree of Ugudei King, in 1238. The palace name was Tumen Amgalan, which attracted merchants with its unique design. We will go over the city and stay at the camp near Melkhi Monument overnight.
On the way to the next destination we will drop by nomadic family to get acquainted nomadic life style. We will head to Sand Dunes in Ovorkhangai Province. This place is a natural complex of steppe and desert. Here you can see natural miraculous landscape and ride camel. .
Drive back to Ulaanbaatar. After lunch you can have leisure time to go shopping. The guide will offer you the shopping centers to find what you want to buy. Amazing performance of traditional dance and folk in the evening.
